Lover of the sun, drifter of the ocean
Winner of the 2015
KPMG Young Talent Award
Indi draws most of her inspiration from being in the ocean during her surf sessions. She is fascinated by the relationship between people and nature. How do we treat nature? And what do we demand from her? Are we a part of nature or are we apart from nature? Is nature something we can possess, tame or recreate?
After leaving Holland to live in a small village in a deserted Bay in Morocco. She felt more and more drawn to the spiritual side of women and started creating visual stories against the breathtaking backdrops of the Moroccan landscapes.
Indi started her photographic explorations around 2010. In 2015 she graduated from The Royal Academy of Arts, (The Hague) from the Documentary Photography Program. During her studies she interned at Marie-Jose Jongerius. During and after her graduation she worked for top firms like AENO Fonds Gemeenten, Wageningen University,
Ministery of Tourism in Morocco and Exterion Media. While living by the tides in a small village in the outskirts of Morocco. She felt more and more drawn to express the spiritual side of women and started creating visual stories against the breathtaking backdrops of the Moroccan landscapes.

The illegal trade is accounting for at least
19 billion dollars per year and is ranked
the fourth most lucrative criminal activity
in the world. The Netherlands is a big
transit hub and plays a major role in the
legitimate and illegitimate trade of
wildlife. The intertwinement of both
worlds and inadequate legislation makes combating this trade nearly impossible.
